Kante explains why he picked Chelsea ahead of Paris Saint-Germain

N'Golo Kante has revealed that he turned down the opportunity to sign for Paris Saint-Germain last summer, instead electing to move to Chelsea.

Since switching to Stamford Bridge from Leicester for a fee of £30 million, the France international midfielder has enjoyed terrific success both on a team and individual level.

Under Antonio Conte, the Blues won the Premier League at a canter, while he was voted the division's best player by both colleagues and journalists.

“It’s true that PSG were like other clubs after my good season with Leicester,” he told Le Parisien. “But I chose Chelsea after speaking to the coach and the sporting director. And I don’t regret it.

“What’s more, the league and the style of play in England pleases me.
