Mrs. Adesua Wellington is one lady that endears viewers through her enigmatic, passionate, professional and down-to-earth acting on screens. Her beauty and Queens diction makes her effortlessly lovable. 

Her wedding to the 'Jasi' crooner Banky W stole away our weekends, but you may want to know and understand some eye-catching and hidden facts about her.

* Her full name is Tolulope Adesua Etomi

* She was born on February 22, 1988.

* Several major editorials on Etomi state her birth year as 1988. However, in an interview published in January 2016, Etomi told Pulse Nigeria that she was 29 years old. Furthermore, Answers Africa published an article in March 2016, stating that she was 30 years old.

* Adesua, the last of three kids, was born in Owerri, South Eastern Nigeria, to a Soldier father and Civil Engineer mother.

* She is left handed.

* Adesua is not really a fan of handbags and jewelry.

* She has a crush on Will Smith. 


* Her mum is a pastor and she sang in a choir for ten years.

* She acted for the first time at age seven with a drama club at her primary school, Corona School Victoria Island.

* She moved to the United Kingdom at the age of 13.

* She got Diplomas in Performing Arts, Musical & Physical Theatre at The City College in Coventry, United Kingdom circa 2004.


* In year 2009, Adesua Etomi bagged a First Class Honors degree from The University of Wolverhampton, U.K.

* Her first big screen appearance in Nigerian cinemas was in April 14, 2014 when she got a role on Emem Isong’s Knocking On Heaven’s Door.

* In 2016, she got the award for the Best Actress in a Drama at the Africa Magic Viewers Choice Award (AMVCA).

* Her talent was untapped, unexplored and dormant until 2004 when she fought her fears and proceeded to study it in college where she graduated with triple distinctions and at the University where she graduated with 1st class honours and 'The Foursight Theatre Award'.


* This award was presented to her by the university for best performance in a devised piece of theatre in the whole drama department and got featured in newspaper.

*The films she has featured in include The Call, Brave, Falling, A Soldier’s Story, Out Of Luck, Couple Of Days, And The Spirit Slowly Dies, The Arbitration,Ayamma: Music In The Desert and The Wedding Party.

* she performed in stage plays like : Secret Lives Of Baba Segi's Wives, Saro, Shattered, The Grimm Tales, Anatomy Of A Woman, Crystal Slipper, The Crucible, Fractal, Not my cup of Tea, The Millers Tale (August 2012, Edinburgh Fringe Festival), Jesus Christ Superstar (Musical), Miss Saigon (Musical), Les Miserables (Musical), among others.



* Adesua can sing, dance, ice skate, play the guitar and do physical theatre. She can speak in British, Coventry, Nigerian, Patois and Broken Nigerian English.

* She auditioned with Banky W before they both secured the role for Wedding Party. 

* In May 2017, Adesua got engaged to popular singer and actor Banky W after keeping their relationship secret for over 2years. 

* Their love story started in 2015 after BankyW approached her at an event asking her to be his friend.

* Banky W patiently stayed just friends with Adesua for about a year and a half. How many guys can do that? I can and currently am...though its not up to a year yet *winks*

* Adesua was overwhelmed with love and gratitude for Bank W that in one of her interviews she described Banky as ' WHAT A MIGHTY GOOD MAN.'


* Adesua apologised for making Olubankole wait for so long. She said 'I’m SO SORRY that it took me sooo long to realise that it was you. It has always been you. It couldn’t have been anyone else.'

* She hopes to open an orphanage home soon because she said she loves children
